There are multiple variations to this depending on the machine used. Here we are using an angled machine. Sit in the machine with your buttocks in the corner where the back and seat pads meet. Lie back against the angled back pad. Place your feet about shoulder width apart on the foot plate attached to the carriage, toes angles slightly outwards. Straighten your legs and rotate the stop bar at the sides of your hips to release the carriage for your set.

Slowly bend your legs as completely as possible while being sure that your knees travel out to the sides of your chest.

Without bouncing in the bottom position of the movement, reverse direction and press the weight out until your legs are again straight.
