pectoralis is a single muscle despite the horizontal line that runs
across it separating the "upper" and "lower"
pecs.
The
pectoralis is responsible for drawing the arm forward and across the
chest.
The muscle is
inserted onto the Clavicula and along the length of the Sternum.
It's attached
part way down the Humerus of the arm.
Compound exercises of
the chest will work the anterior deltoid (front of the shoulder) and
the triceps. |
