There
are several different types of handles which you can attach to the end of
a cable running through a floor pulley. The narrow, parallel-hands handle
used for pulley rows can also be used for pulldowns, as can the handle
which gives a shoulder width parallel hands grip. But for purposes of this
exercise description, let's use a long bar handle. Take and overhand grip
on the handle with your hands set 3 - 5 inches wider than your shoulders
on each side. Straighten your arms fully and wedge your knees under the
restraint bar provided. If there is no restraint bar provided, you can
either sit or kneel on the gym floor and have a training partner restrain
your body. |
