Below we asked three
trainers their views and opinions from the following
supplements SAN's Bolt, MaxiMuscle's RecoverMax and CNP's Pro-Recover. These people have been training and using sport
supplements for over two years.
| Question |
Before
us we have a selection of the most popular used recovery supplements, that you have all tried and used and you wish to share with
us your views and opinions. Weight
training - its hard. It tires you out doesnt it. What people are crying
out for these days is superior recovery enhancing products. Thats what our
panel have been testing for the past four or five weeks. Do people really
need a separate product aimed at recover enhancement?
|
| Answer |
Jason
- Yeah it makes total sense. The window of opportunity after your
workout is your biggest growth and recovery point. You need to get the
muscles recovering and growing as fast as humanly possible. Anything that
gives you that advantage is well worth it.
Mike - Totally
agree. You need to get the muscle repaired and your energy level, blood
profile levels of hormones up and stop catabolic hormones dead in their
track before they absolutely ruin your progress for good!
Phil - I think they
are probably the most important supplement you will ever take - that and
protein. You wont recover or make progress without a quality recovery
drink. Its as simple as that.

| Question |
Ok,
which one did you use and what results exactly can somebody seem to gain
from using a post workout recovery drink?
|
| Answer |
Jason
- I used the Bolt. It has the unique cell duplicator system in it
that promotes hypertrophy. Its like the Holy Grail of bodybuilding. Not
only do you repair damaged fibres - but you actually build whole new ones. Mike - I
used Maxi-Muscles RecoverMax which is a great nutrient rich repair and
growth product.
Phil - I used the
Pro-Recover by chemical which again is a very specially designed recovery
and growth formula that is very impressive. Its designed to spike your
insulin levels through the roof and drive quality whey proteins and
glucose into the muscle cells and fast.

| Question |
And how did they taste?
|
| Answer |
Jason
-
Fruity! Very fruity. Nice. Refreshing after a workout. Mike -
This was a good tasting milky drink that was sweet but not
overpoweringly so.
Phil - Very nice.
Like a sweet milkshake. Great 'cos thats like what your body craves after
a workout isnt it.
|
| Question |
Tell
me about how well they mix?
|
| Answer |
Jason
- Instantised. You add water and its mixed. As simple as that. Mike - Pretty
well. I put it in a blender. I think with the quality of the ingredients
then its bound to mix really well. No lumps or anything. Phil
- I just used a fork to mix mine. No problems either. Pretty easy
to mix. Its got to be after a workout right.
|
| Question |
What
type of consistency are they?
|
| Answer |
Jason
-
Like a fruit water drink. Its not a shake.
Mike - Like a thin
milkshake.
Phil - Yeah like a
shake - but a bit thicker, not quite as thick as a Pro-Mr or anything.

| Question |
What
results did you personally experience from using these products for a
month?
|
| Answer |
Jason
-
Better muscle pumps. Less sore the next day. And I was putting on steady
good quality weight. I felt more hydrated too. Mike -
I definately had more energy after training and I felt much much
better the next time I trained the same bodypart when I had had a
RecoverMax after my session.
Phil - I agree with
Mike. Better recovery was definatley noticeable. I like the way it made
you feel more pumped and better for your next workout.
