| Question |
Before
us we have a selection of the most popular used health
supplements, that you have all tried and used and you wish to share with
us your views and opinions. Health.
Its the be all and end all of training and progress. There are obviously a
whole range of many, many health supporting products on the market and we
will be getting round to evaluating all of them in the future. Today we
are looking at the range of joint health and injuries. Lets talk to the
victims of training wars. What's the problem folks?

| Answer |
Peter
- Torn pectoral on the left, makes me push harder with my right arm
and so its taking more strain. I get the most unbelievable, unforgiving
ache in my shoulder and elbow joints.
Mike - Bad back.
Torn a few muscles and squished a disc - I think...from bad squatting. My
fault.
Ant - Ive got some
kind of knee joint ache. Getting it checked out at the moment but
apparently its joint/fluid/soft tissue related.

| Question |
Which
product did you use and what were your initial thoughts?
|
| Answer |
Peter
- Im telling you Ill try anything. I used the MaxiMuscle one. Ive used
their products before and I like them a lot. I was impressed. I didnt
think anything could help but it did.
Mike - I tried the
Glucosamine by Reflex. My doctor recommended it. Not the Reflex one
specifically but Glucosamine and Ive heard lots and lots of people with
conditions using it to improve their health, from injuries to arthritis. I
think it may be a little too early to tell because its a long term thing
but the alst few days I have to admit I feel a little relief from the
usually niggling pains.
Ant - Wonderful
stuff. And its not placebo. Been using the Joint Formula for about six
weeks and its really really helping.

| Question |
So
you think a supplement like this can have a profound effect upon your
health and pain relief?
|
| Answer |
Peter
- Yes, definately. I mean my shoulder isnt cured but it is nowhere
near as bad as it was. I think if I keep taking the Ache-Free for a while
then cycle off it for a month or two or as long as I can stand, Ill
appreciate it even more when I get back on it.
Mike - Im not sure
for cycling. For my back condition I think I would use a moderate level
dose of Glucosamine for permanent long term use. It seems to have the best
write ups and there are enough people who use it long term to really rave
about the positive results. So Im going to give it a good few months fair
trial, But intially its the only non-drug compound that has even touched
my pain for some relief.
Ant - I never
thought about cycling it. But this is a quality product. I think it
combines a number of assisting nutrients. Im not sure if it has the
glucosmanine already in it - I think so. It definately helps so Ill be
using it from now on.

| Question |
Ease
of use? They're all slightly different these products on dosing protocols
and things aren't they?
|
| Answer |
Peter
- Yeah sure, but they aren't rocket science. I mean take a handful of
pills once or twice a day. I never missed any doses. I dont want to be in
pain.
Mike - Dead easy.
Just take with food. Easy to swallow capsules.
Ant - Ahh. Mine was
a powder product like a protein. In fact it mixed and tasted far nicer
than any other powdered protein product Ive ever had. Really fruity and
tastey.
|
| Question |
Would
you stack these with anything else to improve your health and assist with
your injuries?
|
| Answer |
Peter
- Well we all had a discussion about this earlier in the day. I think
unanimously we would combine a good quality oil product like Udo's Oil or
something like that because the joints need fatty tissues and oils to
lubricate them. That's something else that is strongly recommended. For
years they've known that something like Cod Liver Oil has an effect on
aching joints haven't they.
