The following
reviews have been placed in the following order - firstly, Creatine
Transporters/Advanced Creatine Formulas, followed second by Creatine Monohydrate
products.
Below we asked three
trainers their views and opinions from the following
supplements Reflex Tri-Matrix, Isatori Meta Cell and Muscle Tech Cell Tech
Low Carb. These people have been training and using sport
supplements for over two years.
| Question |
Before
us we have a selection of the most popular used creatine
supplements, that you have all tried and used and you wish to share with
us your views and opinions. Creatine
- the most widely used ergogenic sports supplement ever. You guys have
just tried out some of the latest and best transport systems. What's your opinion?
|
| Answer |
Peter
- Ive always used creatine. I cycle it and use loaders to load up. I
think its essential. Essential for any natural trainer and the chemically
enhanced. Strength, power, speed, endurance, energy, recovery. It's
popular because it works. I was trying out the Tri-Matrix this month. Im
impressed.
Tony - I use
creatine infrequently so I don't get too complacent with the great things
it does for me. I was using the new Cell Tech Low Carb because right now
Im on a low carb diet. Benefits are fantastic. Its tempting to stay on all
year long. I don't think it would do you any harm.
Mike - Yes, I used
the MetaCell. Its my favourite creatine. I normally actually load on
something like the original cell tech and then maintain on Meta Cell for
quite a few months. I find it increases the speed at which I build muscle
and my strength always improves.
|
| Question |
What
do you think of the new formula creatines? Any difference? Any better?
|
| Answer |
Mike
- Totally. Don't they say that when you take plain creatine
monohydrate, you absorb only a tiny amount and thats why so many people
complain of stomach upset. I think that the plain stuff is probably
inactive or not too useful for some people. These new formulas are making
creatine not only more accessible and usable but stronger than ever
before.
Tony - Creatine
loading technology that is baseda round low carbs and no carbs and with
insulin improving benefits are just the future as far as Im concerned. The
more we can control out anabolic hormone the better our results. Thats
what this product Cell Tech Low Carb does - its not just a creatine but a
growth enhancing product. Im a big fan.
Peter - The one I
used this month was a fascinating creatine product used before workouts
with the new Tri-Creatine Malate creatine salt in there. This is something
far out. I mean, when you have limited results with plain creatine, you
have to try this new substance - its mind blowing. And when you have good
results with plain creatine and you start using the Tri-Creatine you can
experience the best creatine enhancement ever - thats what I found.
|
| Question |
So
seriously - what results do you normally gain from creatine
supplementation and what results are you getting from these new products?
|
| Answer |
Tony
- I was able to load up on creatine while ketone dieting. I loaded
until I was eight pounds heavier - while dieting. I noticed the insulin
mimicking products inside this formula made me lose bodyfat and keep my
head focussed better event though I was low on carbs. How cool is that!
Normally, if you're dieting, you ain't got a chance in hell of loading
successfully on a creatine.
Mike - Normally Ill
use creatine and gain a few pounds and get a little stronger and sometimes
I get heavy leg syndrome. With MetaCell Im a good five pounds heavier and
strength goes up between 5 and 10%. Now that ain't bad for someone who's
been training as long as me and the results start to dry up right.
Peter - Im amazed to
be honest. I normally get what I consider good results from my plain
creatine. This one I don't need to load up on at all and Im a good five
pounds heavier as well. Im stronger...but more than anything my muscles
feel more pumped and full than on normal creatine. Im guessing that the
increased cellular hydration is going ot cause me to gain more muscle
through hypertrophy enhancement. Very good product.

| Question |
Any
side effects, stomach upsets, anything like that?
|
| Answer |
Mike
- We discussed this before between us. None at all. We've all
experienced at some time in our training and using creatine, especially
with cheap brands, some form of dodgey tummies but nothing with these ones
- seem to digest just perfectly.
|
| Question |
What
about mixability? With some creatines you get a bitty grainy formula and
some you have to heavily load with pints of water. What did you think of
these?
|
| Answer |
Mike
- Hmmm, I never experienced that myself. I used to use slightly warm,
just boiled water, that may have helped dissolve the crystals. MetCell
mixes beautifully. I find it dissolves instantly.
Peter - No problems
here. The Tri-Matrix was mixing fine, I guess it has to, if you're gonna
use it before your workout!
Tony - I had the
slightest grain at the bottom, but I use the warm water trick and that
solves that perfectly.
|
| Question |
Excellent.
So you achieved great results and the products were of the best quality.
What would you stack them with for even better results?
|
| Answer |
Mike
- Nutrition first. I have MRP's or a decent weight gainer like Reflex
Instant Mass myself.
Peter - Most of the
time Im dabbling with something or other. Im a big fan of using a good
creatine with a methoxy product or a tribulus product like Pro Male. Ive
used that Tri-Anabol recently as well. That was excellent.
Tony - Hmm, I think
nutrition is the next most important point after your creatine. If you
really want exceptional results though, Ive been reading into oils and
fats a lot recently. If you have your protein and carb and creatine levels
sorted...you should probably look at getting your hands on something
fantastic like Udo's Oil.

Below we asked three
trainers their views and opinions from the following plain creatine monohydrate supplements Reflex
Crea-Pure, NutriSport Creasport and MaxiMuscle's Creatamax 3000. These people have been training and using sport
supplements for over two years.
| Question |
Before
us we have a selection of the most popular used creatine monhydrate supplements, that you have all tried and used and you wish to share with
us your views and opinions. Creatine
- the most widely used ergogenic sports supplement ever. You guys have
just tried out some of the most popular 'monohydrates' on the market. What's your opinion? |
| Answer |
Dave - I think if
you're looking for energy increases and a boost in performance and you
dont want to bloat or balloon then you can get great results from creatine
monohydrate. I mean this is the most popular supplement on the market and
its one I cycle and use as religiously as a protein supplement. Tim
- Yeah, I think Creatine changed the face of the supplement world
forever because it works. And the nuts and bolts of any of the creatine
formulas on the market is in fact the creatine itself. Thats the stuff
that is actually important. Brian
- Totally. I gain a good strength and power boost every time I cycle
in a creatine product.
|
| Question |
What
do you think of the new formula creatines in comparison to a plain
monohydrate? Any difference? Any better?
|
| Answer |
Tim
- Well of course there is a difference. I mean a transporter is
designed for a very specific task of shuttling more creatine into the
cells for a specific result. But at the end of the day you can make great
gains with a plain creatine monohydrate and people have been making gains
on creatine for years. Thats why its so popular. I use the Reflex one all
the time. I think its great.
Brian - Not only
that, but were talking cost efficiency here. I mean I use the odd
transport system for big gains occasionally but I like to stay on creatine
most of the year round and thats expensive. I mean I get a kilo from
Nutrisport and that just lasts me like forever, and it costs me virtually
nothing. And for the results that I get - I class it as a very high
quality investment.
Dave - I see these
people do something different to me slightly. I mean I was always brought
up with the school of thinking that a transport system was in fact a
creatine loader...so you use one of those for a week and then switch right
back to your monohydrate. Isnt that still how people do things these days?
I mean some of the loaders are specifically designed in tubs that last
about a week anyway right.
|
| Question |
So
seriously - what results do you normally gain from creatine monohydrate supplementation and what results are you getting from these
specific products?
|
| Answer |
Brian
- I was using the Nutrisport as usual. I gain substantial strength
gains. I notice it in energy and reps. I can do more reps per set.
Tim - I use the
Reflex brand. I normally gain a few pounds of quality muscle and I
definately feel more pumped up than usual.
Dave - Im using the
MaxiMuscle Creatamax and to be honest I think there's more in there than
just monohydrate becuase at the moment I still feel like Im on a creatine
transport system. Im still gaining weight and Im still getting
substantially stronger.
|
| Question |
Any
side effects, stomach upsets, anything like that?
|
| Answer |
Dave
- Yes, thats one complaint I do have. If I have my creatine with my
protein shake I do seem to get a bit of a dodgey tummy.
TIm - Ah, thats
rubbish, you're just making it up. Creatine gets absorbed no
problem.
Brian - No, you can
get a bit of a bad stomach but you aren't meant to mix it in protein
anyway cos it can slow the absorption right down. I noticed that the
monohydrate can make me very dehydrated so I need to drink loads more
'plain' water.
|
| Question |
What
about mixability? With some creatines you get a bitty grainy formula and
some you have to heavily load with pints of water. What did you think of
these?
|
| Answer |
Brian
- Yes, we all agreed on this one. Creatine can get a little bit bitty
or grainy when you mix it, although someone form another group showed us a
little trick. If you boil the kettle and wait for it to be hot but cool
enough to drink then pour that on the left over creatine bits and stir it
while you drink it, that seems to dissolve all of the little bits that
didnt mix properly.
|
| Question |
Brilliant,
so you would suggest creatine is a product worth investing in long term. What would you stack them with for even better results?
|
| Answer |
Dave - A good
quality weight gainer if I was trying to get bigger. Tim
- I think something like a pro-hormone to get really strong, because
no matter what anyone else says here - HIT training and strength is THE
way to build muscle. Brian
- I think a protein drink is the best thing. Plenty of protein while
you get stronger and you're gonna grow. |
