Andy

Andy is the store manager, and been with the company a few months now. His speciality is talking MMA, and will talk hours about the sport (even when he is supposed to be working). Andy has great passion for his work, and this reflects when customers visit the store. He pays special attention to customer satisfaction and getting the customer exactly what they want. So if you want to talk MMA, and think you know your stuff, pop in and chat to Andy.

Dave

Dave is the newest member of the team, but don’t let that fool you, he knows his stuff. Dave is an avid boxer, and has tried a lot of the products we sell in store. Having also recently completed the London Marathon, he has great training and exercise tips. Like Andy, he is very passionate about his work, and always interacts with customers really well. Chances are he will make you laugh also, which is always a good thing.

Ste

Steve is one of the veterans of the store, having been here for over a year. He is a keen bodybuilder, and is pursuing a career in that alongside his work in store. Ste’s knowledge of products is second to none, and will tell you pretty much anything about anything you want. In a previous, Ste was a chef, and offers superb advise on the correct food to eat, and how to prepare the food. So if your after a great diet or even want information on products, Ste will be happy to help.

Craig

Last but no means least, Craig. He is the most experienced member of the team having been here well over 18 months now. Like Ste, he is also training as a bodybuilder, and recently finished 4th in the Mr Liverpool competition (First Timers). He is looking to improve his physique for next time, and has some really good tips for new bodybuilders. His product knowledge is really extensive, and is always happy to help anybody with finding the right product for them.

Steve H Question

BodyActive Liverpool Store: Hi all, I am currently using PhD Diet Whey post workouts (with the intention to loose weight) on a mainly CV based training programme (currently away doing cross country skiing). I am having it straight after the morning session (2Hrs CV) and before dinner as the afternoon session is normally around 1.5Hrs CV. At night I am taking ZMA where it suggests the best technique is to take this on an empty stomach. I have been going the gym approx 1930-2030 and bed by 2200.

My questions are would I be best served adding any more servings of PhD throughout the day If I was to take some PhD post gym session (weights) at 2030 is this to late for the ZMA to have maximum effect due to the requirement of an empty stomach

Answer

Hi Steve, you should already be taking a protein shake post workout, as this is the most vital time to get it in to your system to repair and recover with. If this is the only thing you will be having then it will not effect the zma at all. It tends to only be effected if you have it soon after a large meal so you will be fine.

Chris M Question

BodyActive Liverpool Store: I currently use Nutrisport Protein 90+ and usually make up 2-3 shakes in one go for convenience, is this ok as someone told me once you make the shake up you should consume it within an hour.
I thought that was in regards to finishing a workout that protein shakes should be used within the hour as this is when the body will absorb and make use of it. Could you please let me know about this, thanks in advance.

Answer

Hi Chris, the whole debate about the time frame to consume protein shakes is because it is milk based. But as long as you can keep your shake cool or even better keep it refrigerated, then it doesn't make a big difference how long after you make it to drink it. It doesn't degrade the quality of the protein so i wouldn't read to much in to that. It's correct that after the gym your body will take in all of your post workout and use it to repair quickly with, so this is the most vital time to take your shake to grow and repair properly with.

Ian S Question

BodyActive Liverpool Store: I am wondering if it is possble to stack the Testo-Xtreme Stack with the Diet Protein made by Relfex. As I am 1 month into my stack and about to order another stack pack. I need to shift the extra flab from my belly and I hope that this is possbile with my Training plan and Relfex Diet Protein. Currently using Optium Health whey Protein.

Can you advise if this is ideal OR can you recommend a decent protein that will give me what I need (muscles etc) as well as help me trim down and get lean (six-pack)
Thanks
Ian S

Answer

Hi Ian, Reflex Diet Protein would help with your training goal, it is a high protein low carb protein with added CLA and ingredient to help speed up your metabolic rate. This will help you promote lean muscle mass and reduce body fat.

Mike Question

BodyActive Liverpool Store: Hi. I just want to ask have you got 6 bromo and Epi pharma labs in stock at your store if yes is price the same as online thanks

Answer

Hi Mike,

I'm afraid 6-Bromo isn't made any more we do have other great anti estrogens such as Esto suppress. The store should have Epi in stock now.

Frank Question

BodyActive Liverpool Store: Hey guys ! i m 19 weight 10 stones and what i do regulary is free running i m sure i have met one of you guys before in liverpool but anyway i m looking to gain weight on my upper body at the moment, i go gym like once - twice a week. just wondering which product would be best for me i m USN 100 whey protein at the moment looking to change to Muscle Fuel Mass or promass any suggestion i ll hit down liverpool and get it as soon as i get an answer :)

Answer

Hi Frank

As a free runner you will want to keep bodyfat levels low but muscle mass amount high to give you the best possible power to weight ratio. Reflex instant mass is a great lean muscle builder, or alternatively USN muscle fuel mass would be a more than suitable option too.
