• Pre-loading phase:
A reasonable level of fitness is necessary before using creatine. It is
also recommended that an increase in high energy foods such as carbohydrates
and fluids are ingested daily during the week prior to commencing creatine
loading phase and throughout the period of use.
• Loading phase:
add 5 g of creatine to a high energy drink twice daily, one before training
on training days. Repeat daily for 10 days.
• Post loading phase:
Add 5g to a sports drink once a day for 6 weeks. Take one week off then
repeat the 6 week cycle.
• Rest periods:
Creatine is not needed during rest periods away from training.
