Question |
Sci-Mentor Twister: I have been advised to purchase Twister, some whey isolate and some phd battery and phd pharma blend - if i am trying to improve lean muscle but also cut up, what is the best way to take these products. I have been told - twister as breakfast, whey mid morning, tuna for lunch, whey mid afternoon, battery 30 mins pre training/during training, twister post training, pharma blend pre bed....does this sound like a good plan and does it raise insulin levels at the correct times to build mass but at the same time improve leanness |
|
Answer |
Hi Dean. All of the aforemenioned products are good and relative to your goals, but I'm sure we could help you out even further.
You're trying to improve lean muscle mass against and simultaneously reduce bodyfat. This is fine. The primary key aspect is to lift heavy weights to stimulate the body to build muscle and lose fat, and eat a high protein diet. Whey isolate may be an excellent tool for this but I'd rather see you go for a post workout product such as Growth Matrix by Reflex, or After Glow by Biorhythm. This way you won't have to purchase the all-in-one as it takes away the need for it. Then, you should look into a base protein to take throughout the day not too high in calories. Peptide Fusion by Reflex, Whole Gains by Biorhythm and Pharma Blend by PHD are all excellent choices.
For pre-workouts, look for one that contains good, effectively proven ingredients and is well reviewed. Don't worry too much about insulin levels. As long as there is a sufficient amount of fibre in your diet and you're consuming the right types of carbs more often than not, you'll lose fat steadily and maintain lean muscle tissue. |

Question |
Twister [Sci-Mentor]: I have a quick couple of questions, it says you should take one serving 60mins before and immediately after training. Now is that the same if it was just a day of cardio training or would i just need the one serving and take two when using weights Also if i had a couple of days of, lets say the weekend, would i have to start again at the beginning to build up the creatine stores or would i retain the same sort of intesity when i train again on Monday Thanks |
|
Answer |
Creatine remains in the muscular tissue at up to 3grams per day. There is no need to worry about that side of the problem, Tommy.
The dosage is merely guidelines for what they consider would be optimal to use their product. i would definitely say after a work-out is a good period to take Twister and also to be used as a meal replacement type product throughout the day. I'd generally say one serving on none-training / cardio days and two servings whenever you desire on workout days, preferably post-workout one of these servings. |

Question |
Sci-Mentor Twister: Hello , Im currently taking twister and it is good stuff , but im also going to purchase stright jacked and some regular reflex whey protein , what would be the best way to take these products and in what order please could you give some advice .. |
|
Answer |
Danny I'd advise you to use a minimum of one twister sachet a day. On non training days have this early in the day, either as a breakfast or inbetween two meals. On training days have the twister within an hour after training. If you can use two servings of twister use one early in the day and one afternoon (or post training). The Straight jacked should be used just before training, although you can continue sipping it during training to keep your energy up too. The regular whey protein should be used to boost your overall protein intake each day. Remember to count your protein intake from meat, poultry, eggs, dairy etc and also from the twister. You should be aiming for AT LEAST 1 gram of protein per pound of bodyweight per day. Generally spread this over at least 6 small meals or snacks. If you are very skinny you may need up to 1.5 grams per pound of bodyweight to see a major size gain at first. You can use the whey shakes either as a drink alongside meals that are low in protein or as a milkshake snack in itself. It is ideal for inbetween bigger meals and as a pre-bed snack. |
