Pit Stop Bars by Reflex: I have tried the new relaunched Pit Stop bars that should be available soon. The Caramel is vastly improved in taste but the Chocolate Orange is FANTASTIC. Still with the top the range proteins and none of the crap you find in some bars except now it tastes as good as the label says it is. The best snack option by far. Hugely recommended. Comes with pro biotics to aid digestive health and now has even more fibre than the old ones so it balances blood sugar and really fills you up like a meal. Amazing really. Paul |

Reflex Pit Stop Bars: Very Good Protein bar here. I ve tried PhD s caramel smart bar, aspire 40 s caramel bar and this one (caramel) definatly tastes best and has the best texture. 35 Grams of protein is also good and 290 calories isnt bad. Highly recommended. Josh |

Pit Stop Bars: Just to finish my review below that was cut off They are a good bar which I d recommend. I really don t think you d need a whole bar unless you are after the nutirtion. Half will do as a snack. I d love to see these in peanut flavour! Come on Reflex, sor rt it out! N |

Pit Stop Bars: This is a pretty good protein bar. High protein and low carb. I ve tried all three flavours(only 3 out at time of writing) and without a doubt the best one was the caramel bar (in my opinion). It is very sweet and unless you have a big sweet tooth you ma ay not get through the whole bar. I didn t. Saying that though, the bars are surprisingly filling anyway. Choc mint is ok reminds me of after 8 s which I like. Coconut was ok too. Not quite like a bounty. Has more coconut (well taste wise). They re a tad EN |

[Reflex] Pit Stop Bars: how you rate this is how you approach protein bars - if you want
this 'perfect' chocolate bar - then get a regular chocolate bar!
for me I'm not really expecting anything out of this world from
a protein bar - so I was pleasently surprised - I opted f for the
CARAMEL flavour and I doubt you'll find a better chocolate protein
bar than this - ok it's a bit chewy (but then so is that OTHER choc
bar that has 'crispies in it!) - once you're eating it you forget it's
actually a protein bar! very chocala George |

Question |
Reflex Pit Stop Bars: I currently use Reflex peptide fusion with one scoop of reflex creatine before a weights session and After glow after. I then use reflex peptide again before bed. On non gym days I have one peptide in the morning with creatine and one before bed. Firstly would you recommend another creatine dose in my before bed shake I have been looking at these pit stop bars and am interested to know your thoughts on whether these would be a worth while addition to my current program and what beneifts would i notice from them and when are they ideally eaten Sorry a few questions there but just trying to work out if they are worth the extra money as it can get very expensive this keeping in shape stuff!. Many thanks. |
|
Answer |
To answer the first question - yes a second additional dose of creatine on your non training days would make sense but the pre bed shake may not be the ideal time. You can take creatine in water or another beverage, probably during the middle of the day for best absorption.
Secondly, the Pit Stop Bars are certainly one of the finest snack proteins on the market and far higher quality than almost any you will come across. Ideally however they should be treated as an occasional treat or for use when travelling or working without access to a protein shake. If your primary goal is muscle gain, then one snack meal pit stop a day as part of your six or so meals is fine. The main advantage is convenience. You can certainly use one as a pre workout snack for both protein and energy or between two larger meals to keep your protein intake high. They are also useful to use as a dessert after a low protein meal. During dieting, when you may be craving chocolates and sweets, they make a great treat food too without resorting to junk food.
In general however, try to make the majority of your meals from good quality protein shakes or whole foods with plenty of vegetables for the best physique. |

Question |
Pit Stop Bars by Reflex: could you just confirm the amount of carbohyrates per bar, i bought these as they were advertised as having 1.9g of Carbs per 100g and after checking the bars, they actually consist of between 33.7g - 35.1g of carbs per 100g! |
|
Answer |
The bars contain only 1.9 grams of actual carbs, the rest, as stated on the label, come from non sugar poly-alcohols which do not cause insulin disruption or are stored like carbohydrates. You will not experience carb related slumps or fat storage from these bars. |

Question |
Pit Stop Bars by Reflex: How many days after purchase will these bars expire I m not sure whether to order two boxes of 12 which will last six weeks according to my training schedule or whether it s safe to stick to buy one box every 3 weeks. |
|
Answer |
James most of our Reflex products including the bars should have at least six months expiry left on them and usually up to two years in fact. If you want to check a product has a particular expiry date feel free to contact us by phone or email or add a n note to your order. Generally only premixed liquid or perishable fat products have shorter best by dates. |
