Beta-hydroxy beta-methyl butyrate (HMB) is a metabolite of the amino acid
Leucine and is synthesized in the human body. It plays a part in protein
synthesis and was discovered by Dr. Steve Nissen in scientific studies
to purportedly increase muscle mass and decrease muscle breakdown.
Research published in the Journal of Applied Physiology and other peer
reviewed publications has shown that HMB may have an effect on increasing
muscle weight and strength. Three grams of HMB per day may help muscles
combat protein breakdown, assist in muscle repair and support increased
endurance. Also, well-controlled scientific studies have found increases
in muscle mass and decreases in body fat.

PhD HMB Active Ingredients:-
1 capsule of PhD HMB contains Calcium ß-hydroxy ß-methyl-butyrate
at 625mg
Of which:
ß-hydroxy ß-methyl-butyrate 500mg
Directions for HMB use: Use up to 6 capsules of HMB daily in divided doses.
PhD recommend 2 capsules HMB taken at 3 stages throughout the day to gain
optimum results. Ideally swallow 2 HMB capsules with the pre-exercise
drink or meal, followed by 2 HMB capsules immediately after intense exercise.
You can use the remaining 2 capsules HMB before bed with a snack or drink.
On non-training days simply use 6 HMB capsules in divided doses spread
evenly throughout the day.
Do not exceed the recommended serving directions of PhD HMB.
