Vegan 90+ Protein by Nutrisport: I take this purely as a dietary supplement, as I don t get enough protein from my food. I only need to drink one a day, with 20g of the powder in it. Even with loads of water one scoopful doesn t dissolve very well at all, and there s always some gloopy stuff left at the bottom of the glass, so I then add more water. I find drinking this really helps my concentration at college and it also helps me feel fuller for longer. The only bad thing about it is the taste. It does taste pretty awful. At first I obsessively tried adding new flavours to it. Cinnamon powder changed the taste but it was still odd. Cocoa powder gave a decent result but it s also bad for you, so kind of defeats the point! Now I just drink it purely with water, no added anything. I find it s easier if I time myself to see how quickly I can drink a glass - about 25 seconds! Not too much suffering for such a good result. I would really recommend this to any vegan out there who s looking to increase their protein consumption without increasing their carb or fat intake. Alex |

Vegan 90+ Protein [Nutrisport]: dear god this is vile. Its absolutely horrible, a powdery, nasty taste that puts me off drinking it. Every time i have a serving i have to rinse my mouth out with fresh water. Its just as bad as standard nutrisport 90plus. When i first tried lg sciences lipotropic protein i thought the taste was odd but i got used to it and it was quite nice when i was over the initial shock after changing from reflex instant whey. Im drinking it now i ve bought it but simply because i have to. On paper its a wonderful protein and the price is great so full marks for that. However i d rather spend the bit extra and buy a protein that i can drink. Eurgh. sharples01 |

[Nutrisport] Vegan 90+ Protein: I am not a vegan or vegetarian but my friend had already tried this for being unflavored and it s actually really good. Personally I thought it tasted better than normal 90 plus. I have been using this for several months now, 5kg tubs work out good on cost given the price of whey these days and it has helped me carry on gaining. Sometimes I add hot chocolate or blend with fruit to flavour it but its fine on its own unless you like really sweet sugary tastes and then you might need to mix with another protein. I feel healthy using this too and will stick with it. Gareth |

Vegan 90+ Protein [Nutrisport]: I ve tried a number of vegan protein shakes, and different pea protein shakes but this is absolutely the best I ve tried. No dairy products to give you cancer, no aspartame or other sweeteners, no chemical rubbish, just 100 pure pea protein isolate. And this stuff tastes really good believe it or not. Simon |

Question |
Vegan 90+ Protein: im not a vegetarian but was lookin to use this insted of the usual 90+ because of price jus wondering how this taste s as buying in bulk and would not like to waste money |
|
Answer |
Most people blend it with fruit to flavour the product. Although its unflavoured, it does have a natural flavour which i would say was somewhat nut tasting. I find it quite pleasant unflavoured but a few people have said it tastes best with a little choc colate flavour. All in all,if you use the normal 90+, I think you will find this a palletable alternative. |

Question |
Vegan 90+ Protein by Nutrisport: how much per day should i use.g per body pounds |
|
Answer |
Stewart the amount of protein to use does vary with your goals. Generally one gram per pound of bodyweight is a basic starting point for resistance training athletes wishing to add some muscle. This will be slightly higher when bulking and could be sligh htly less if you are maintaining size. Vegan 90+ is a great way to add in top quality protein for those not eating meat or dairy or with allergies to dairy etc but the amount used will depend how much you are getting from other food sources as well. |

| Further Description |
What's really nice about 90+ Vegan is that pea protein isolate is in fact
really high scoring on the amino acid profile tests, like whey, and it is
very slowly absorbed - just like Micellar Casein, only the VEGAN pea protein
is not derived from dairy - so you avoid any possible risks and scares associated
with dairy proteins in the human body. And of course pea protein isolate
does not contain soy protein, so the male athlete does not have to fear
any negative testicular effects. What's even better is that Nutrisport 90+
Vegan tastes and mixes really well.

Nutrisport 90+ VEGAN protein supplement
Pure Pea Protein Isolate
Free from any animal products
Low in fat + carbohydrate, No additives, sweeteners or flavours, Free
from genetically modified materials.
A source of high quality vegetable protein
Some vegan and vegestarian diets can be low in protein, and the protein
can be of a low biological value. 90+ Vegan allows you to get pure protein
with a high biological value, without the need for animal products.
Nutrisport 90+ Vegan is a low fat, low sugar powder isolated from peas,
contains No Animal Products and No Cholestrerol.
Pea Protein contains all of the essential, non-essential and branched
chain amino acids. Vegetables can be very high in protein but tend to
be limited in certain essential amino acids. Pea protein is unusual in
having a good balance of amino acids, similar to that of animal proteins.
The protein requirements of athletes is approximately 1.2-1.8g/kg body
weight, compared with 0.8-0.9g/kg body weight for less active individuals.
For heavy athletes this extra requirements is especially important. Muscle
mass is increased by the rate of anabolism (growth), and decreased by
the rate of catabolism (breakdown) during exercise.
Pea protein is not associated with fat or cholesterol, as is the case
with many animal based proteins. Pea protein has one of the highest Lysine
contents of all vegetable protein - this amino acid is important in maintaining
lean muscle mass. It also has the highest content of Arginine of all commercially
available proteins.
