The Golds Gym Adjustable Hand Grip is a great way to improve hand and
forearm strength. The Adjustable Grip is based round the traditional
'hand squeezers' but has a unique design that allows you to increase or decrease
the resistance levels by way of a turning handle. Because of the complexity of
the muscle groups controlling the hand and forearm, it consists of a range of
fast and slow twitch muscle fibres, no single resistance spring can fully train
all muscle groups. But, the adjustable spring, allows you first to train the
fast twitch muscle fibres with a few sets of 'high' resistance exercise,
followed by low resistance sets to fully work the slower, endurance, muscle
fibres.
