Pro-Mass [CNP]: I have tried mammoth 2600 and others in my quest to find something that worked for me being a hardgainer. I first tried promass in chocolate and only with water, it leaves a slight gassy/chemical after taste if you get a lump that hasn t mixed. Strawberry is their best flavor though, on my 3rd 4.5kg tub of this flavor and it mixes like a dream, isn t too heavy and a strong taste. A tub lasts me just about a month taking it twice a day, once in the morning after getting up and straight after my workout, compared to others which give around 30 servings (15 to me if taking twice a day) for around 35 it would simply cost me far more than I could afford ( 70 alone per month eek !), definitely price/quantity friendly and enables me to invest the savings in creatine and other such branch off supliments to aid my development. Question |
[CNP] Pro-Mass: im confused as to what to eat i have been told i should just have protein but at the moment im not seeing results even with taking promass i have been told that protein alone wont help me gain mass is this correct i mean do i need the same amount of carbs in my work out as proteins what diet would you recommend whilst taking promass |
|
Answer |
Promass is a high calorie, high carb protein shake.
Protein alone will not cause you to gain mass, you need adequate carbs.
A simple rule of thumb is that you need a protein serving the size and thickness of the palm of your hand 6 times a day plus carbs the size of 2 of your fists 6 times a day to gain mass,
Promass in milk provides one of these meals |

Question |
Pro-Mass: this might sound like a stupid question but im not quite sure as to how to take promass all i do is mix promass with water is that correct or do i have to blend it |
|
Answer |
Sure, you can mix promass with water, in a blender, or buy one of our shaker cups that work really well. |
|

Question |
CNP Pro-Mass: thanks for that im not quite sure as to when to take promass for example before training after training can i take it with meals or do i also have to wait 2 3 hours like i normally do when it comes to a meal also should i be taking it on my days off |
|
Answer |
Take it post workout when the whey protein will be absorbed well. You can also take it first thing in the morning to stop catabolism from the night before. You can take small doses along with meals, but it's better to have solid sources of food, and use a whey based product in times when you need a fast hit of quality protein into your body. |

Question |
Pro-Mass [CNP]: im 9 stones and im taking promass i have been told that for me to gain weight i have to eat a lot of proteins so i have bought tuna nuts yoghurt scrambled eggs milkshakes is this correct if so how do i balance it out meaning when should i take promass and when should i have my meals is this what i should be eating when im taking promass or does it not matter seeing as i must be gaining weight due to promass |
|
Answer |
Yes Casper, you do need to increase protein intake to gain muscle. You need a calorie surplus, so try to eat a lot of good meat sources, dairy, protein shakes, etc.
Pro Mass will inevitably assist you gaining weight, but like you said it's important to have the correct nutrition and weight training to back it up and keep the results consistent. |

Question |
CNP Pro-Mass: Will I gain weight quicker with Promass mixed with water or milk |
|
Answer |
There is more calories in milk, but you will be able to stomach less powder.
In water the drink will pass through your stomach a little swifter, enabling you to eat again sooner.
You have to balance these things for yourself.
At the end of the day, the more calories you eat, the more weight you gain. Beyond a certain limit, even with great training and nutrition, its going to be bodyfat.
Therefore aim to gain 2 pounds a week. Make sure your training is progressive and you are getting a little stronger every single week.
Eat or drink 6 meals a day, about 2 to 3 hours apart.
Make sure each meal contains complex carbs, some protein and either fruit or veg |

BodyActive's Overview Chemical Nutrition Products have most
definitely earnt their placing in recent years as a market leader, trend setter
and forward thinking innovative nutritional company. With the original teamwork
of business genius Kerry Kayes and his first business partner, the late Paul
Borreson, set the way for the team to progress solidly and steadily along with
multi-Olympian, Dorain Yates, and brain child scientist Brian Batcheldor.
Now CNP are at the top of the nutrition game formulating and
promoting a steady stream of well researched and reputable supplements. As seems
the philosophy of CNP, the sports supplements have always been and will probably always
will be core supplements that actually do work. There are no gimmicks, no flashy
state of the art here today, gone tommorow one hit maybe wonders. The range from
CNP is structured, objective and science driven to the core. Earning their place
as the leader of formulated proteins in recent years, CNP was the first to make
the world aware that not all proteins are created equal and indeed not needed at
the same time of day. In a bodybuilding community obsessed with the purest of
the pure whey proteins, CNP broke the mold, stood out of the crowd and shouted
about Casein. In particular, slow released, undenatured micellar casein. Soon
followed every other company, as the research and results driven focus of CNP
became the true word in the bodybuilding community.
CNP Pro Mass is one of the core best selling supplements from
their range. It is a ppular weight gain supplement based around solid scientific
research. People want a smooth, easily digested, energy packed, mucle building
nutritional tool. That is what CNP have delivered. There is no fat gaining,
poorly digested, nauseaus powder here. Pro Mass was developed with the hard
gainer in mind. They wanted a shake that was ample calories per serving for the
fast metabolism. A shake that was well digested with a blend of fast and slow
digested proteins (undenatured filtrated whey and micellar casein). Proving to
be both anabolic and of course, now, anti-catabolic. The carbohydrates blended
into ProMass being 90% complex carbs, avoiding any massive insulin fluctuations.
And the small amount of added fats that created a rich, palatable and creamy
shake are supplied by quality MCT's that are treated by the body as if they are
energy packed carbs, and not stored as fats by the body. ProMas delivers a
decent 35g of this protein blend and 400 top class scientifically delivered
calories per serving. When you use Pro-Mass you will notice only the best
quality lean tissue gain when combined with a sensible nutrition and exercise
plan. The gains will come on steady and progressively as they should with no
unsightly fat gains, flatulence or stomach upset.
All in all, a fantastic supplement with a fantastic track proven
record that has come to prove itself as a firm favourite amongst sports people
and bodybuilders.

| Manufacturers Description |
|
It is no
secret that nutrition companies view their weight gain formulas as simply a
cheap way of supplying protein and calories. Lacking in any technology, most are
simply crammed with sugars, saturated fat and indigestible protein. Digestive
disorders, energy crashes, nausea, loss of appetite and increases in bdy fat are
the usual accompaniments. Not bad for a supplement that was supposed to help you
gain muscular bodyweight! Here at CNP we believe that a serious problem needs a
serious solution. We have taken exactly the same scietific approach that we
apply to the development of any of our supplements. We looked at the main reasons
why hard gainers struggle for every ounce of muscle.
* Fast metabolic rate, requiring additional quality calories.
*Using supplements that contain only one source of protein. All the aminos enter
the bloodstream at the same time and most are oxidized for energy or converted
to urea or ammonia.
* Digestive problems, caused by poor quality supplements or those not
suitable for people with sensitive digestion.
* Being in an almost permanent state of catabolism.
Over training, through either calorific defect or unrealistic training
workload leads to muscle loss and needs to be addressed by adjustment of
training, increased calories and the use of anti-catabolic proteins. Whey
protein is not anti-catabolic.
Pro-Mass is the only scientifically structured approach to lean tissue gain.
Nothing is included merely to supply calories. Applying the principles of
"Fast and Slow Proteins", we have blended undenatured, filtrated whey
with undenatured micellar casein, supplying 35 grams of anti-catabolic protein (micellar
casein is the only protein proven to be anti-catabolic). Carbohydrates are
supplied in the form of our unique blend of 63% higher saccharides (complex) and
7% monosaccharides (simple). This is done to avert constant insulin
fluctuatuions (leading to increased bodyfat) and to supply a continuous supply
of energy without "sugar crashes" for those with a fast metabolism.
The small amount of fat present, 4.87 grams per serving, comes in the form of
unsaturated MCT's. Low in lactose and easily digested, every serving supplies
around 400 calories of the best technology that nutritional food science can
address this issue with. This is the new standard by which all weight gain
formulas will be judged. High in "Fast and Slow Proteins"
Anti-catabolic Special Carb Matrix Low in fat (unsaturated) Low in Lactose
