BCAA: Branch Chain Amino Acids are ideal before and after training to support muscle retention during dieting or prolonged training sessions.
Manufactured by Reflex Nutrition, a ISO9001 registered company committed to
producing high quality sports supplements.
Reflex BCAA are amino acids. The BCAA are depleted during training and
recovery, supplementation may therefore minimise muscle tissue loss during
exercise and speed up recovery.
Ideal for periods of hard training or during low calorie diets.

Question |
Reflex BCAA: Hi, can I open the capsules and empty the contents in with my pre and post protein drinks (post also contains Creatine) |
|
Answer |
Not a good idea, Joseph. take it from somebody who's tried this! The capsules go extremely soggy and you risk losing some of the contents. |

Question |
[Reflex] BCAA: i am 15 i am just making sure these are safe to take. Also do you belief i need these when i have shakes bars etc |
|
Answer |
Jake BCAA's are fine for teenagers to use. Whether you need more will probably depend on what your goals are and how much high quality protein you get in a day. If you struggle to gain muscle or are trying to shed a lot of fat then extra BCAAs will make a big difference, especially if used around training and having a few before bed as they are the important part of proteins without the calories, great for boosting results without fat gain. However if you gain muscle easily or are getting more than three big protein meals a day you may not need these currently. |

Question |
Reflex BCAA: I have heard that whey proteins contain all the BCAA s that I need... is this true If so, I use Reflex - Peptide Fusion nightly, should this be enough |
|
Answer |
Elliott Whey protein naturally contains a small ratio of BCAAs whether this constitutes all you need depends on a lot of factors including how many shakes a day you use and the type of training you are doing, along with your curren dietary regime. In general you need more BCAAs during low calorie dieting and whenever you are starting a new and heavy form of training. Many Olympic coaches still recommend upwards of 40grams of BCAAs for elite athletes so you can imagine that even for a regular trainee 10 to 15 grams may be closer to essential which is still more than you'd get from regular protein shakes. If you are maintaining or eating heavily for size gains you will probably not notice a huge difference with extra BCAAs unless you train very regularly. If you are dieting or trying to get lean or taking up extra training or a sport you will see a definite improvement with regular BCAA supplementation above just Peptide Fusion. |

| Alex |
Question |
BCAA: I m very new to using amino acid supplements, but i would like to start. BCAA s are supposed to be Ideal for periods of hard training or during low calorie diets. However, i m on a high calorie diet, trying to bulk up. Which type of amino acids would be best to take and also when should they be taken Thanks for your time, alex |
|
Answer |
Hi Alex. The majority of your amino acid profile is covered by a high protein diet. As long as you are getting at least 1 gram of protein per pound of body weight you will have an ample amino source. The Branched Chain Aminos are a special case. Although they are most noticeable on a lower calorie diet, they are still essential for muscle building and rapid recovery so they will still be useful around training and before bed during a bulking phase. Many coaches recommend their high use during any phase. For maximum growth you should be training with heavy basic exercises such as squats, deadlifts, chins, bench, dips etc and as these pose such an extreme challenge to your body, even on high calories, BCAA use before, during and just after training can speed up recovery and reduce soreness. BCAA's are often found in recovery drink formulas at high doses but many professional level athletes and those who train often can use upwards of 15 to 20 grams per training session. This is an extreme example but BCAA use is one of the simplest but most effective changes you can make to a regime. You won't see a steroid like explosion of growth but over months of use you can tell who uses BCAA's and who doesn't. They can make the difference between good results and great results. |

| Manufacturers Description |
|
The BCAAs, l-leucine, l-isoleucine, and l-valine, are probably the
most essential amino acids for athletes in training. They account for
33% of muscle protein. Some experts believe that even moderate
exercise can increase your body's need for leucine by up to 240%. By
taking Reflex Nutrition BCAAs before and after exercise you can
increase nitrogen retention, boost protein synthesis, and protect
your muscles from the stress and trauma of heavy exercise.
