Protein 90+: Definitely one of the best Protein powders I ve tried - even just with water! It has a kind of malty taste to it and it s really low in calories if you re watching your intake specifically. I found that taking the suggested 2 servings in 1 pint of water actually fills you up and doesn t leave you wanting. If you re protein needs aren t that high however and you just want, say somthing to take 1-2 hours before training, this fits the bil. Excellent value for money too! 2.5kg is going to last me a long time. Also mixes well whether you shake it or use a blender, though the blender does give it a nice frothy head! Add a serving of Creatine Monohydrate (4-5g) and you ve got something that probably works better than Cyclone but doesn t cost anywhere near as much. If you re watching the dairy intake, use rice milk instead. Tastes awesome! Richard |

Protein 90+ by NutriSport: i have treid other similar priced product and found this very good, and excellent value for money, contrary to other reviews i actually like the chocolate taste, found the banana tasted a bit like shit if you didnt drink it straight away tho, but would def recommend for any body who enjoys training but not want to remortgage to purchase supplements, def better than the holland and barrett stuff which i found quite lumpy and gave me gut ache at times Rob |

Question |
Protein 90+: I currently use CNP pro mass post workout and reflex peptide fusion both morning and night. will i be better off getting this for morning and night and afterglow for post workout. Thanks |
|
Answer |
Will, I personally like to segregate my supplementation like the following for optimal results;
morning; weight-gainer - efficient way of getting quality cals in.
post-workout; after-glow
night; protein supplement.
this way you can keep blood sugar levels stable at night and minimize fat gain while keeping qwuality calories in at the right times throughout the day. |

Question |
[NutriSport] Protein 90+: this is the first supplement that i am taking so i am a little confused. it says on the directions i should mix with a pint of water and have 2 servings a day. does that mean that i make 2 pint servings or that i make 1 and split it up |
|
Answer |
Jay each serving should generally be mixed with a pint of water, so you will have a 1 pint serving earlier in the day and a 1 pint serving later in the day. Different people need differing amounts of extra protein and it will also depend on how much protein you get from meat, eggs, fish, etc.
Most people aim for around 1 gram of protein per pound of bodyweight to encourage maximum growth, usually spread out over 6 meals or snacks per day. |

Question |
Protein 90+: I just bought my first Nutrisport 90+ bottle. I am new to all this. It says to take 2 spoons(around 50ml) with 1 pint of water. I like drinking Fruit Juices, If I blend in the 2 spoons with my Fruit Juice(Usually Apple, bananna, Orange Juice + ICE & blended together), will it have the same effect as mixing it with water Please help. |
|
Answer |
Hi Ray, you can blend your 90 plus up with whatever beverage or mixture you like. The reason water alone is usually advised is that too much fruit juice can turn to excess body fat but as long as you find that you don't pile on bodyfat from fruit juice consumption you can certainly use 90+ to make a high protein smoothie. Most protein shakes are fine mixed with most drinks or added to food mixtures etc. The only thing to avoid is just boiled water which can damage the protein quality. Everything else is fine. Add whatever you like to make it suit your taste and calorie needs. |

| TOM |
Question |
Protein 90+: I have been taking my most recent protein with milk and it says that this is fine so i was just wondering if i could take this 90+ supp with milk and would this be beneficial |
|
Answer |
Tom if you look through the other answers below you'll find that we really don't recommend milk use where possible. Milk is not tolerated by everyone but even for those who do digest it fine it's still a cheap, damaged protein source with lots of sticky, sugary carbohydrates in it and packed with sodium and other substances that don't always lead to a great physique. If you desperately need calories to grow adding a little milk to your shakes can be beneficial and cheap but in general, for the best results, stick to water. |

Question |
Protein 90+: hi, i know that milk is a good source of protein and have started drinking lots. are there downsides to it, as it contains hormones but im not sure which ones, and wether they are beneficial or not. cheers! |
|
Answer |
Tom Milk by itself is not the best option in terms of a food stuff. If it was raw milk it would be digested properly by the human body but unfortunately raw milk is not legal to sell. Milk does contain a decent protein in its original form but this protein is damaged by pasteurisation and Ultra Heat treatments. Also milk is made up primarily of a sticky sugar carbohydrate in the form of lactose which is a very poor choice for physique and health conscious users. Milk is also high in sodium which can cause bloating and water retention. There is also, of course, the toxic levels of antibiotics and unneccesary hormones added to keep milk cattle producing milk through sickness and poor diets. All in all, not a great choice! Whey proteins and Micellar Caseins, especially the new higher quality ones, remove all the excess carbohydrates and are made from undamaged milk proteins, filtered to collect the useful products. Many years ago regular milk consumption may have been an adequate protein source but in today's environment it simply is not a good choice for the vast majority. Look at organic eggs, meats, chicken, fish and raw yoghurts and cheeses along with quality protein supplements for your intake. Your health and phsyique will thank you for it. |
