Promax Meal Bar by Maximuscle: Wow - very filling and and first I thought the taste was overrated (I m an ex chocoholic!), but after eating one of these a day, having a retail choc bar (yes, I occasionally indulge!) tastes watery in comparison !
I actually look forward to these (compared to Maximuscle s Promax Xtreme) and am sometimes tempted to eat 2, but never have as it would be wasted ! Guilt free, ok expensive I know shuhel |

Maximuscle Promax Meal Bar: i do weight lifting 4 times a week and cardio twice nt including my rugby traning and matches. I am 14 i have a great diet having 6-7 meals a day mostly with protein and carbs and a little fat,do you think this would be a good,healthy snack to have every week day for my break at school. |

These are a really good choice actually Jake. We don't usually recommend people use snacks as a long term part of their diet but given how difficult it can be at school to stick to liquid feedings and given the amount of activity you're doing, you will probably find these sort of high protein bars ideal for your purposes. They are very high in protein and so are a lot more filling than a regular snack and although they do have some chocolate and sugar for the taste, it's minimal compared to a regular chocolate bar. You will probably need some water to aid digestion as the amount of protein can need some extra fluid.
The only other choice we'd recommend could be the Reflex Pit Stop bars which are slightly higher in protein if you need a slightly larger amount (useful if you can't fit in your daily protein requirements during the main part of the day). But otherwise, the Maxmeal bars are probably your best choice. |
