I tend to use it for recovery, and it has seemed to reduce the aching a lot more compared to other proteins. Jon	Question	Pro-Peptide Protein by CNP: Hi, I have been taking a whey protein for around 12 months at regular intervals throughout the day, and whilst I have noted gains I have not noticed much gains recently. I was thinking of changing to a different blend of protein, i.e. CNP Pro-Peptide. I realise that the Pro-Peptide is a slow/fast release protein but are there any other differences i.e. Should I take the Pro-Peptide at regular intervals throughout the day (like the whey) and should I take around the same amount in grams per day .. As always, thanks for your advices.
	Answer	Jon blended proteins are generally considered superior than single types according to most recent research. Pro Peptide is very easily digested, is more filling and generally shows better results than most protein types. It can be used throughout the day in the same way as a pure whey. Remember however that if you have gained size in the past you may need to be eating more protein overall, as the larger your muscles get the more protein you need to maintain them and fuel new growth. You should generally plan your protein intake for the target size you want to be. Use at least 1 gram of protein per pound of bodyweight per day for the size you wish to be. So for a 200 pound target bodyweight you will need AT LEAST 200 grams of protein per day throughout your meals. This obviously includes whole food proteins as well as your protein shakes. Some people may need more like 1.5 grams per pound of bodyweight to see maximum muscle gains.

	Answer	Yes Aman, you should be consuming good quality protein every day regardless of whether you are in the gym or not. Muscle building occurs on your rest days as much if not more than training days as training is just the stimulus, it's the hours and days after training when muscle is built. Protein is also the best sort of food to maintain metabolism meaning less fat storage. Try to keep your protein intake high every day, the only difference is you might want slightly more carbohydrates and fats on training days for the energy burnt up during the training itself.

	Answer	Daniel, personally we'd say the Pro Peptide was a slightly better option as the Whole Gains does contain some carbs. They are the finest quality carbs but generally there's very little need for carbs right before bed, they're likely to be stored as fat in all but the slimmest individuals or those who work out very late at night. Other than these two scenarios, a blended protein with a lot of slow release casein such as Pro Peptide is the ideal choice most of the time.

Micellar casein (milk protein) is an undenatured slow released protein, medically proven to be anti-catabolic (stopping muscle breakdown).
